NYC psychiatrist Dr. Scott Shapiro graduated from Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital Residency Program. In addition, he completed his Medical Internship at Harvard Medical School’s Mount Auburn Hospital. Dr. Shapiro is both a psychopharmacologist and a diplomate in cognitive behavioral therapy from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
After completing his training, he worked for eight years as the Director of Psychiatry at St. Vincents Catholic Medical Center’s Infectious Disease Center. He believes that all people deserve quality mental health care. He is the Founder and Director of the non-profit organization, MilestonesNYC, matching pro bono mental health providers to New Yorkers in need.
